Manager/Director, Marketing Communications (LA)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Marketing Communications leader to join our team in the fast paced online advertising industry. This position will report directly to the VP of Marketing and will manage direct reports. Title will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute marketing strategies and tactical initiatives as part of the overall marketing plan, including brand management and development; customer acquisition planning (advertising & media planning; lead generation; etc); and corporate marketing
- Oversee communication strategy which includes PR, analyst relations, customer communications and internal marketing communications
- Manage overall financial budget for marcomm programs within Marketing budget, including program costs, advertising, creative services, trade show expenses and headcount related costs
- Work in partnership with Director of Product Marketing and Product Marketing team on joint efforts around product launches, marketing programs
- Evaluate changes to the marketplace and the industry and adjust the marketing plan accordingly
- Maintain and enhance the quality and profitability of the marketing plan through the development of marketable, operationally feasible and cost-effective advertising and promotional efforts
- Manage creative development for print, web and other collateral
- Branding: Work with marketing management in development of corporate branding and messaging for various business units
- Develop and execute strategic plan for all external events, including trade shows and other event sponsorships
- Develop and build events programs for customers, prospects, partners and the online advertising industry; identify new event marketing opportunities based on industry trends and competitive research
Qualifications:
- Must have Internet advertising industry experience
- Excellent communicator in both written and verbal formats. Must be an A+++ writer who pays very, very close attention to the details
- 5+ years marketing experience managing and performing a variety of marketing duties.
- Lead generation and online advertising experience
- Experience in communications and public relations, including social media
- Experience in the development and implementation and management of marketing programs in a dynamic marketplace for tangible commercial products and services
