In accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), The Rubicon Project, Inc. (“Rubicon Project”) is providing publishers a method by which they may transfer personal information to demand partners who agree to be service providers, as defined by the CCPA, to the publisher. In order to do this, publishers may mark their ad inventory with a us_privacy= flag indicating that the user has opted out of the “sale” of their personal information. When the opt out flag is present, Rubicon Project will only pass such requests to demand partners who agree to act as a service provider to the publisher with respect to such requests. Accordingly, in order to receive bid requests originating from California IP address with the us_privacy= flag set to opt out, you must also agree to act as a service provider with respect to such requests. This means you may not use the information in the flagged bid request to add to a user’s profile or cross-device graph or to target ads to the user. If you do not agree to act as a service provider to the publisher in this manner you will no longer be eligible to receive bid requests with this information. In no event may you “sell” any Personal Information we send to you about any users, whether or not this flag is present.
