Since Rubicon Project was founded in May 2007, community and philanthropy have been fully ingrained into the fabric of our company. In addition to revolutionizing the automation of advertising, our founders set a policy of donating 1% of our profits to charity. In 2012 we updated this policy to distribute that donation by contributing ½ of our charitable donation to CASA (more on CASA below), and ½ to be distributed equally among charities chosen by our individual team members.
CASA is a non-profit organization that serves abused and neglected foster children, which suddenly lost 100% of its government funding in 2011. Unwilling to let 34 years of hard work and service crumble, CEO & Founder Frank Addante joined the board and made it a personal goal to help see CASA through this tough time.
Today, as a result of the dedication from the staff, board and volunteers, CASA has not only rebuilt itself completely but the organization has doubled the number of children it serves. CASA is set to host their first ever “Evening of Dreams” Gala this year and have chosen to honor Frank and his wife Allison at this milestone event. We’re very excited and proud of both Frank and Allison and all they have helped accomplish with CASA.
With an aggressive growth plan ahead, it is vital to our company’s success to remain a positive force within our communities and true to our Cultural Values. Here is a complete list of the charities we contributed to on behalf of our amazing team:
