Rubicon Project Appoints James Brown As Managing Director, UK
Former General Manager, Digital Advertising for Telegraph Media Group brings buyer and seller experience to Rubicon Project
LONDON – August 5, 2014 – Rubicon Project (NYSE: RUBI), which operates one of the industry’s largest independent real-time trading platforms for the buying and selling of advertising, is strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of James Brown as Managing Director for the U.K. and Ireland. Combining his seller experience from Telegraph Media Group (Telegraph) and trading experience at diffiniti, Brown will direct all U.K. and Irish operations reporting into SVP Europe, Oliver Whitten.
James Brown brings more than sixteen years of digital experience to Rubicon Project. He spent six years at Telegraph rising to become General Manager, Digital Advertising, growing revenues and developing the strategy for programmatic trading and launching initiatives such as a publisher trading desk. Prior to that he was Trading Director of Aegis-owned diffiniti responsible for relationships with media owners and working with brands including Ladbrokes, Auto Trader, Opodo and Betfair. He also spent a year as Chair of the Commercial Committee at the Association of Online Publishers, (AOP).
