Working at the Rubicon Project = Two Thumps Up, Way Up!

Team member Dara Diaz (REVV Back Office – Stats Integrity Specialist) shares her experiences working at the Rubicon Project’s LA HQ:

“I came to the Rubicon Project through a temp agency where I originally came on board as a temp and then transitioned to a full time team member. Of the many things I enjoy here, I must admit I REALLY enjoy the stocked kitchen and having lunch provided every day. Of course, that’s not all – I’m impressed with all the benefits that come from working here: health insurance, gym membership, Rubicon swag, the courtyard, pool table and shuffleboard. I’m also extremely impressed by my team as I love working with them day in and day out. The Stats team consists of five other dedicated, hard working individuals who make my work environment just that much more enjoyable.

From the moment I walk in and am greeted by our awesome Office Manager, Bill Cryer, to the delivery of the delicious bagels from Bagel Nosh every Friday – there are added bonuses throughout the company that keep me going. The opportunity to work at Rubicon came at the right time in my life and it just fits. I’ve continued to work here because I like what I do and the team I work with. Can’t ask for much more than that.

If given the task of describing Rubicon with one word, I would choose ‘progressive’. Our CEO, Frank Addante, is progressive in terms of where he’s taking the company and he’s hands-on to make sure we’re moving in the right direction. We’re constantly and consistently trying to improve and conquer. And in that quest, it’s nice to have a cultural value that states “mistakes are ok”. With my personality I tend to be hard on myself for making mistakes but working here gives me the assurance that it’s ok to make a mistake and I’ll learn from it. My team is there to help me out with any questions I have and show me what to do so I won’t make the same mistake twice.

Actually, I believe in our mission as a company so much that I even got my brother involved working on the AdCheq team. I genuinely like coming in to work. Now, how many people can say that? This is due in part to the company’s culture. I’ve seen the teamwork and sense of community here and it’s amazing. The environment isn’t too serious; I hear laughter and people joking around often. I like how everyone gets down to business and can focus on getting things done yet the atmosphere is still relaxed, friendly and casual. It’s nice to work for a company where team members know how to find a balance between work and fun and have a company that supports that. All in all, I give the Rubicon Project two thumbs up.”
